George Dandin or the confounded husband in Caen

This is not the first time that Michel Fau has tackled a work by Molière, as he has already staged Le Misanthrope and Tartuffe in the past. At the same time, he plays a play in which he plays Bette Davis, projects that may seem far removed, but what he likes are stories about human madness.

For this “George Dandin”, Michel Fau wanted to highlight the whole baroque side of the piece, especially in the costumes which are signed Christian Lacroix, but also to restore as at the time the famous ballets composed by the accomplice of Molière, Jean-Baptiste Lully.

George Dandin who is a peasant and who is going to exchange a title for his fortune by marrying a young girl of noble birth, but the scenario is not going to happen as he had imagined. A real baroque farce to rediscover!
