What is a woman?
This is how the woke party decided, this weekend, to ban all male candidates during the next by-elections.
We are only going to present women and “non-binary” people!
Yes sir!
Uh, sorry: yes, ma’am!
But as a friend asked me this weekend: what is the definition of a woman for QS?
Could an individual who looks like Laurent Duvernay-Tardif introduce himself if he feels “deep down” that he is a woman?
Could a man dressed as a woman be considered a woman?
Could a woman who feels like a man introduce herself, given that she has all the physical characteristics of a woman?
And why would QS accept non-binary people, but not “two minds”?
Being “neither” is good, but not “being both”?
And why would we prefer a straight woman to a gay man?
It seems to me that a man who likes men is more marginal than a woman who likes men, right?
And if QS members had the choice between a lesbian and a bisexual woman, which candidate would they choose?
Between a bohemian woman who owns a condo on the Plateau and a worker who lives in a semi-basement in Verdun?
Ah dear, it’s not easy to be intersectional…
And wait, it’s nothing, I didn’t include race and religion in the portrait!
Why would QS put a straight white woman before a gay African Muslim?
That’s going to be colonialism!

That said, I find QS’s decision honorable.
And this is why I ask all men in Quebec, even those who camp to the left of the left, not to vote QS in the next elections!
Let women vote!
Let women express themselves!
