Geneviève de Fontenay almost 90 years old and “close to the cemetery”: disappointed, she confides in old age

On August 30, Geneviève de Fontenay will be 90 years old. But she doesn’t want candles or cake! The lady in the hat, who lives rather modestly since she was replaced at the head of Miss France by her eternal enemy Sylvie Tellier – who would in turn be in the hot seat -, supports very badly the fact of aging, in addition to everything that annoys her already regularly, from the participation of miss transsexuals in the beauty contest to the vaccine against the coronavirus…

It’s in the pages ofParis here that Geneviève de Fontenay expressed her exasperation as she prepares to take a new step. “Celebrate what? This is idiocy! From the age of 80, we should no longer celebrate the year that has just passed. I can’t admit that I won’t see my 89 year again. So my birthday, I don’t want to hear about it (…) Getting older makes me sick because, like it or not, I’m closer to the cemetery“, she says bluntly. Hard words to read for her clan, she who is notably the grandmother of two granddaughters, Adèle (26 years old) and Agathe (22 years old).

Moreover, despite her advanced age, which causes her pain, she appreciates this status which often breaks down over time. “Between us, I like my role as a granny“, she had dropped to Gala last year. In Here Paris, she says a little more about her granddaughters since we learn that Adèle has studied communication and an internship in the Senate while Agathe will soon enter a school in Slovenia to become a veterinarian.

Deprived of “her” Misses and living with less comfortable income than in the past, Geneviève de Fontenay therefore does not particularly appreciate seeing time pass by, but that does not prevent her from keeping in shape! “I have a simple life and I am healthy. Still, I can’t believe I’m going to be 90! I haven’t seen the past decade pass“, she adds.
