The Israeli government denied being behind the attack, instead attributing it to Islamic Jihad.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas denounced a “massacre” and declared three days of national mourning.
This strike comes on the eve of United States President Joe Biden’s visit to Israel and Jordan.
