While violence against women continues, the collective ”#WeAll“, accompanied by dozens of other associations marched in several cities to say stop to gender-based violence.
In several towns in France, rallies have taken place to denounce violence against women. Songs, happenings and choreography were on the program. In Paris, between 20,000 and 50,000 people were present in the procession. In the French capital, several women talk about what they have suffered : assault, violence and harassment and hurtful behavior.
Marylie Breuil, member of the collective ”#WeAllbelieves that the laws are not being enforced. She adds that the resources invested in the fight against this violence are not sufficient. Indeed, the High Council for Equality between Women and Men recommends nearly one billion euros of investment while 60 million are currently spent. In France, 220,000 women are victims of violence each year.
