Standing in front of the legendary Abbey Road studios, Richard broadcasts the radio on his speaker, surrounded by around ten people. They religiously listen to the new Beatles song, released Thursday November 1 in part thanks to artificial intelligence (AI). “It sounds like the Beatles!exclaims Richard. What more can be said ? Amazing. I didn’t think it would be this good to be honest.”

Now and then is the new and final Beatles song, released worldwide on Thursday, November 2 at 3 p.m. A handful of fans spontaneously gathered in front of the British group’s former recording studios to experience this moment.

“The Beatles will always be magical”

With her husband and two children, Tania came on purpose from Yorkshire, in the north of England. She cries while listening to the song. “My father was a huge Beatles fan, sometimes he thought he was John Lennonsays Tania. I know he would have been here. The Beatles will always be magical, they will live forever.”

A little behind, Matt has difficulty speaking. The young man has the feeling of living a unique moment: “Without a doubt, I will remember it for the rest of my life. It was my only chance to be here for the release of a Beatles song. I will never forget this moment,” he said, as if he and the small group hadn’t noticed the pouring rain up until now. But a few minutes after the end of the title, they disperse. This little impromptu gathering was their Beatles moment.
