(Amqui) A woman was seriously injured during a collision that occurred Thursday evening between her car and a trailer truck, on Route 132, in Amqui, in Gaspésie.
The Sureté du Québec police officers from the Matapedia MRC were called around 7 p.m. on Route 132, near the intersection of Chemin du Pont-Couvert, for a collision involving two vehicles, explains Hélène Saint- Pierre, spokesperson for the Sureté du Québec (SQ).
The driver of the tractor-trailer did not suffer any apparent injuries, but the driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was evacuated to a hospital, where her life is feared.
A police officer specializing in collision investigation from the SQ analyzes the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
Route 132 is closed during the investigation and a detour is in place via rue Perron.
