In the Aude, breeders are very proud to present their selected animals at the next agricultural show. For them, it represents the work of a lifetime.
Almost 1,200 kilos, Narco, bull from Gascony, will soon be at the agricultural show. “He’s a teddy bear, he’s dead calm. For Paris, calm animals are ideal because there are a lot of people”, says Robert Puech about Narco who does not seem anxious at the idea of leaving for the capital. To obtain its length, its width and its balance, it was necessary to work. Raised in the Aude in Lacombe, it is the fruit of patience.
“I am very proud of it”
Oracle also comes from the region. Four and a half years old, he will compete in Paris in the young bulls category. “I take care of it every day, I try to see if it doesn’t get bigger day by day, but it’s not easy. I’m very proud of it, maybe too much”, says Camille Lasalle, breeder. They will be four Gascon breed breeders from Aude at the next show. This represents a consecration for these farmers.
