(Pittsburgh) Kristopher Letang marked his return to the game by scoring 1:54 in overtime on Thursday, allowing the Pittsburgh Penguins to win 3-2 over the Philadelphia Flyers.
Letang ended the debate after going around the net, scoring his first goal of the season.
Letang was enrolled in the league’s COVID-19 protocol on October 23. He hadn’t played since October 19.

Travis Konecny and Scott Laughton fought back for the Flyers.
Winning goaltender Tristan Jarry made 36 saves, three more than Carter Hart.
Penguins coach Mike Sullivan was on the sidelines in connection with the NHL pandemic protocol. Deputy Todd Reirden was at the helm of the Penguins.
Reirden said Sullivan has symptoms, suggesting an absence of several days.
Eight club players have been on protocol since September including captain Sidney Crosby this week.
Marcus Pettersson, Brian Dumoulin and Chad Ruhwedel are also recent cases of players on the sidelines in connection with COVID-19.
Zach Aston-Reese, Jeff Carter and Jake Guentzel made the list, but have since returned to playing.
