Gaëlle Pietri: The mother of Gaspard Ulliel’s son at the heart of a terrible journey, 35 hours of hardship

The sea is sometimes capricious and all sailors know it, there is an element of luck in the crossings. While the Route du Rhum, which has just lost its very first winner, will start this Sunday from Saint-Malo, Gaelle Pietri she decided to go to sea for a good cause. The model is involved in the preservation of the environment and it is therefore for the Tara Ocean Foundation that she launched the challenge of going to sea. An initiative that she took in connection with the disappearance of her former companion, Gaspard ulliel.

As she explained on February 19, the mother of their son, Orso, decided to commit to the preservation of the oceans with this association to pay tribute to the actor who died at only 37 years old. “Gaspard was a diver, sensitive to climate issues and concerned about the protection of underwater biodiversity, he would have liked the momentum aroused by his disappearance to go to the defense of these causes that were close to his heart. We wanted to honor his memory. by contributing to the association”, she explained at the time. She therefore decided to combine words with deeds. by making a crossing on board a boat of the foundation.

A crossing marked by bad weather, but Gaëlle Piétri keeps her spirits up

Two days ago, she left a beautiful message in tribute to the late actor and father of her son. “Crossing with the crew to pay homage to you, G”, wrote Gaëlle Pietri on Instagram and obviously, the crossing is far from simple. In her story, the beautiful brunette has just published a new photo and the weather conditions seem terrible. “The calm after 35 hours of storm”she writes on a photo of the boat at night, with part of the team in the background (the photo can be found in the slideshow). Despite the harshness of the climate, the latter does not let go and among the emojis that she adds after her message, we can see a swollen arm, a sign that she does not intend to stop in such a good way!
