Gabrielle Lapointe is one of the two singer-actresses who will perform Cristal in this production which will be shown in Paris from November 4 to January 29.

Bound by professional secrecy, the former student of the Collège Jésus-Marie de Sillery and the Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy was finally able to share her joy. The one who has just turned 19 herself made the announcement yesterday on her Facebook page.

“I am so happy to finally be able to reveal this project to you, which has been part of my life for two years already”, she wrote the day after the preview presented at the Palais Nikaïa in Nice, on Friday.

The multi-instrumentalist puts her name on an impressive list of singers and singers who were part of the work of Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon, presented for the first time in 1979 in Paris. During this performance, France Gall played the role of Cristal. In the new version, Gabrielle Lapointe will play this role alternately with Lilya Adad, a French artist.

proud parents

Even if they were impatient to express all their pride, the parents of the young artist also had to keep the secret for many months.

Jean-François Lapointe, internationally renowned baritone and director of the Opéra de Québec, as well as Sophie Martel, soprano singer, quickly realized that their daughter had all the skills to go on stage.

“At two years old, we already knew,” says the mother, a little surprised to learn that the big news has come out publicly.

“It’s like starting in the National League,” she says, referring to a rookie who would start skating on the same ice as Sidney Crosby.

Raphaël Hamburger, the son of Michel Berger, notably worked on this project with the director Thomas Jolly.

The preview of the 2022 version of starmania has drawn praise from several French media, including Radio France.
