After several cases of violence involving minors, Gabriel Attal announced a plan for youth on Thursday April 18. It includes an educational component and another judicial component.
Thursday April 18, Gabriel Attal made announcements for youth from Viry-Châtillon (Essonne). This destination was chosen after the death of a schoolboy beaten outside his establishment. The Prime Minister has decided to make the fight against violence among some adolescents a priority by relying in part on schools. At the college, students will be welcomed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Boarding facilities will be developed for the most difficult young people and the actions of troublemakers will be mentioned in their Parcoursup file.
A consultation was launched on the subject
Gabriel Attal believes that adolescents are too often involved in violent acts. Among the judicial announcements: community service for those under 15 and their parents, immediate appearance for minors aged 16 and a fine for failure to appear before a judge. The Prime Minister is launching a consultation on violence among minors, with conclusions expected in the coming weeks.
