Prime Minister Gabriel Attal visited the Agricultural Show peacefully on Tuesday February 27. He met agricultural union organizations there. The images contrast with those of Emmanuel Macron during the inauguration of the event on Saturday.

At the Agricultural Show, Tuesday February 27, Gabriel Attal got in touch with the agricultural world. A grain grower from Drôme, who blocked the A7 motorway, criticized him for the use of public force on Saturday against angry farmers. The Prime Minister was on a mine-clearing operation and aimed to make people forget the images of bedlam during the inauguration of the show by Emmanuel Macron on Saturday.

Agricultural unions are confident

For the Prime Minister’s second visit, after the surprise one on Sunday, everything started calmly. A few moments later, he spoke with agricultural union organizations, who emerged confident from this meeting. “We were asked to each prioritize four or five points (…) before the meeting with the President of the Republic”, explains Laurence Marandola, spokesperson for the Peasant Confederation. At the show, Gabriel Attal sought to find a way out of the agricultural crisis, which has lasted for more than a month.
