Gabriel Attal, Aurore Bergé, Gérald Darmanin… Discover the results of the members of the government in the 1st round

There were many on the starting line. In all, 24 ministers, including the first of them, Gabriel Attal, were candidates in the early legislative elections, the first round of which was held on Sunday, June 30. None were elected in the first round, but 23 qualified for the second round, on Sunday, July 7, including 16 in three-way races. Franceinfo summarizes the scores obtained by the candidate ministers.

Ministers qualified in duels

Gabriel Attalthe Prime Minister, came out on top with 43.85% of the votes in the 10th constituency of Hauts-de-Seine, where he has been elected since 2017. He will face the one he beat in 2022, the candidate of the New Popular Front-PS, Cécile Soubelet (35.53 %).

Not far from there, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Stephane Sejournewho took over the 9th constituency from the outgoing deputy Emmanuel Pellerin, pinned for drug consumption, comes first with 46.07% votes. He will face in a duel the NFP candidate Pauline Rapilly-Ferniot (21.39%). In the same department, the government spokesperson, Prisca Thevenot, also takes first place with 39.91% votes in the 8th district. She will face in the second round the NFP candidate nominated by the Socialist Party, Salomé Nicolas-Chavance (30.30%).

In Paris, Olivia GregoryMinister Delegate for Business, Tourism and Consumer Affairs, won 39.36% of the vote against NFP candidate Céline Malaisé (28.96%), in the 12th constituency. In the 3rd constituency, the Minister of Transformation and Public Service, Stanislas Gueriniarrived in second position with 33.99% of the votes against the left-wing candidate invested by Les Ecologistes, Léa Balage El Mariky (46.15%), according to almost definitive results.

In the 1st constituency of Loir-et-Cher, the Minister of Agriculture, Marc Fesneauwho ran under the MoDem label, collected 34.56% of the votes behind the RN candidate, Marine Bardet (35.22%).

In the 1st constituency of French people living outside France, which includes Canada and the United States, the Minister Delegate for Industry, Roland Lescurecomes first with 38.84% votes against the NFP candidate, Oussama Laraichi (36.12%).

Ministers leading in triangulars

In Yvelines, another Macronist land, the minister in charge of Equality, Aurore Bergé, finds himself in a three-way race in the 10th constituency, with 33.59% of the vote, ahead of RN candidate Thomas du Chalard (28.22%) and NFP candidate Cédric Briolais (22.40%). The Minister of Relations with Parliament, Marie Lebec, in the 4th constituency, should also face a three-way race, with 41.24% of the vote ahead of the NFP candidate, Céline Bourdon (27.21%) and the RN-LR candidate Jean-François Mourtoux (19.99%). In the 2nd constituency, Jean-Noel BarrotMinister Delegate for Europe, labeled MoDem, is also qualified in a three-way race, coming in first (35.01%) facing the NFP candidate, Maïté Carrive-Bédouani (26.29%), and RN candidate Gaetan Brault (21.81%).

The minister of the Interior, Gerald Darmanincame out on top in his stronghold of the 10th constituency of the North with 36.03% of the vote, closely followed by the RN candidate Bastien Verbrugghe (34.31%) and ahead of the left-wing candidate Leslie Mortreux (24.83%), also qualified.

In the 2nd constituency of Côtes-d’Armor, the Secretary of State for the Sea and Biodiversity, Hervé Bervilleelected since 2017, comes in first with 33.61% of the votes, just ahead of the RN candidate Antoine Kieffer (30.96%) and the NFP candidate, Jérémy Dauphin (25.71%).

Ministers in second or third position in triangular contests

In Seine-et-Marne, the delegate minister responsible for foreign trade, Frank Riesterfinished second position with 31.43% of the votes in the 5th constituency, behind the RN-LR candidate Philippe Fontana (41.77%) and ahead of that of the NFP, Laurie Caenbergs, (24.52%). In the 2nd constituency, the Minister Delegate responsible for Health, Frédéric Valletoux, under the Horizons label, obtains 33.73% votes behind RN candidate Ivanka Dimitrova (35.06%) and ahead of NFP candidate Nour Benaïssa-Watbot (23.70%).

The Minister Delegate to the Minister of Agriculture, Agnes Pannier-Runacher, candidate for the first time in legislative elections, in the 2nd constituency of Pas-de-Calais, comes in second place with 21.54% of the votes, behind the RN candidate Alban Heusèle (37.31%) and ahead of the NFP candidate Alexandre Cousin (20.12%).

The Minister of Housing, Guillaume Kasbarianelected since 2017 in Eure-et-Loir, finished second with 32.89% of the votes, behind the RN candidate Emma Minot (33.66%) and ahead of the left-wing candidate, Jean-François Bridet (24.05%).

In the 5th constituency of Loire-Atlantique, the Minister Delegate in charge of Families and Youth, Sarah El Haïrylabeled MoDem, arrives in second position with 36.17% of the votes, between the NFP candidate, Fabrice Roussel (37.73%), and the LR-RN candidate Bruno Comby (24.73%).

The Secretary of State for Digital Affairs, Marina Ferrariunder the MoDem banner, obtains 35.24% of the votes, in the 1st constituency of Savoie, behind the LR-RN candidate, Typhanie Degois, former Macronist MP (36.16%) and ahead of the NFP candidate, Christel Granata (22.93%).

Patricia MirallesSecretary of State in charge of Veterans and Memory, obtains 22.54%, in the 1st constituency of Hérault, in third position behind the LR-RN candidate, Josyan Oliva (22.86%) and the candidate from the NFP, Jean-Louis Roumegas (34.04%).

The Minister Delegate for Persons with Disabilities, Fadila Khattabiwho represented himself in the 3rd constituency of Côte-d’Or, finished in third position with 23.81% of the votes against the NFP candidate Pierre Pribetich (29.59%) and the RN-LR candidate Thierry Coudert (35.44%).

In the 10th constituency of Haute-Garonne, Dominique FaureMinister Delegate for Local Authorities, also came in third place behind the NFP candidate, Jacques Oberti (36.24%), and the RN candidate, Caroline Falgas-Colomina (30.37%).

Ministers qualified, but who withdraw for the second round

In Essonne, the minister responsible for overseas territories, Marie Guévenouxarrived in third position with 27.11% voices behind the NFP-EELV candidate, Julie Ozenne (37.60%) and the RN candidate Paul-Henri Merrien (29.96%). She announced on Sunday that she was withdrawing from the “risk that a victory of the National Rally represents”. “We must do everything to ensure that the candidates from the Republican arc who are able to win next Sunday win”she pleaded in a press release.

In the 1st constituency of Bouches-du-Rhône, the Minister Delegate for the City, Sabrina Agresti-Roubachecomes third position with 23.61% of the votes, behind the RN candidate, Monique Griseti (45.54%) and the NFP candidate, Pascaline Lécorché, (26.90%).
