Immigration law, end of life, employment… The French express their expectations, Wednesday January 10, the day after the appointment of Gabriel Attal as Prime Minister.
Rebuilding the link with the French is one of the first projects of the new Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, appointed Tuesday January 9. The French have different expectations of him. “The priority is to look at the elderly, retirees and people who are unemployed”, assures a woman. Immigration law is at the top of the pile of files awaiting Gabriel Attal. “I think it should be removed, it’s profound stupidity”says a man.
Some already imagine him president
Inflation and purchasing power are another concern. “It’s getting harder and harder for everyone and they have to do something.”, asks a woman. Gabriel Attal will also have to look at the end of life. Barely appointed Prime Minister, some already imagine him succeeding Emmanuel Macron. “I think he’s aiming for the presidential election”, anticipates a woman. The Prime Minister will face his first challenge at the polls during the European elections in June 2024.
