(Rome) G20 leaders agreed on Sunday on a target of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels, with more ambitious wording than in the Paris agreement, according to several sources close to the negotiations .
The agreement reached concerns a “stronger language” than that of the Paris agreement, according to two sources participating in the negotiations.
The French presidency spoke for its part “a common objective” concerning the threshold of 1.5 degrees.
