Funeral of Jean-Pierre Pernaut: His ex-wife Dominique and his daughter Julia erased in pain

The whole of France has been in mourning since March 2. That day, the death of Jean-Pierre Pernaut was announced through an official press release. The journalist who spent thirty-three years presenting 13H on TF1 suffered from lung cancer. But according to the information relayed after his death, he died following an emergency heart operation, which had plunged the journalist into a coma. Jean-Pierre Pernaut leaves behind a large blended family which includes his wife Nathalie Marquay and their two children, Lou (19) and Tom (17). But before falling for the former Miss France, with whom he had been in a relationship since 2002, the TV presenter had for companion a certain Dominique Bonnet.

Little information is known to the general public about her except that she is the mother of the two eldest of JPP, Olivier (born in 1981) and Julia (born in 1978). The latter ended up building their own families: “Julia, my eldest, is a gynecologist in Amiens. She has two daughters, Iris and Eléa. With Léo, Olivier’s son, I am three times a grandfather“, confided, happy, Jean-Pierre Pernaut.

Very discreet throughout their relationship and even after their breakup, Dominique Bonnet came out of her reserve this Wednesday, March 9, 2022. She has indeed agreed to go to the funeral of her ex-husband, which took place at the Basilica of Sainte-Clotilde in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. She was seen very close to her children Julia and Olivier, a few meters from Nathalie Marquay and her young Lou and Tom. True to form, Dominique Bonnet has remained could not be more discreet, surrounded by the family but always in the background. Same for his daughter. Julia, present but erased. For his part, Olivier came with his partner Catherine Dupraz and their son Léo. There too, the small family has remained in the background, giving way to the wife and now widow of Jean-Pierre Pernaut, as well as to his youngest children.

Many of them paid tribute to Jean-Pierre Pernaut this Wednesday. This was the case for those who worked with him at TF1 for many years or others who had the chance to meet him at different times in his life. The emotion of his wife Nathalie Marquay as well as his children was more than palpable.

If the religious ceremony was an opportunity for everyone to pay homage to him, the burial took place in private.
