On set, journalist Alexandra Bensaid returns to one of the wishes displayed by Emmanuel Macron, Tuesday, November 9, in his speech: the full employment.
On the occasion of his new presidential address, Tuesday, November 9, Emmanuel Macron took stock of his action since the crisis. He spoke of the aid and measures which have made it possible to preserve employment. Today, the Head of State displays a new ambition: the full employment. “It’s very ambitious”, notes the journalist Alexandra on set Bensaid.
Nowadays, “the unemployment rate is just under 8%. 7% unemployment, that was the promise of candidate Macron. Full employment in France, how high would it be?“, wonders the journalist, who evokes the case of Germany “at 5.4% unemployment rate”. And to note: “Economists do not know exactly what full employment is in France.“ Anyway, this full employment would depend on several things: growth, the competence of people and the balance between job vacancies and demand.
