Fuel shortage: an ambulance company in the Marne must eliminate certain interventions

To Cernay-Les-Reims (Marl)during the weekend of Saturday October 8, an ambulance company was under prefectural requisition, and had to interrupt its mission with the SAMU. The reason : four of its ambulances are stuck due to fuel shortages. The director struggles to find solutions. On the side of the Regional Health Agency, there is no answer. He therefore calls the prefecture, which invites him to go to a site which lists the gas stations having fuel.

It’s urgent. You have to reorganize everything, sorting the interventions to save the remaining fuel. Some interventions are therefore deleted. Vehicles are blocked, and paramedics can no longer work. Normally, the ambulance company provides 70 stretchers a day. Without fuel, it will no longer be able to take care of the sick.
