Union members represented by the Federation of Health and Social Services (FSSS-CSN) adopted the sectoral agreement in principle to improve their working conditions.
Employees of the four categories of staff accepted the agreement, specifies the largest union organization in health and social services in a press release published Wednesday morning.
According to the union, workers expressed during general assemblies “that several measures will make it possible to make interesting progress, in particular on bonuses, overtime, provisions for certain regions and the nomenclature of job titles” .
“Nevertheless, several questions remain and illustrate that the government could have done more to help the network’s overloaded staff,” he adds.
The FSSS-CSN has more than 140,000 members across Quebec in the public and private sectors, including nearly 120,000 in the public health and social services network.
More details will follow.
