For this trip on the theme of education, the President of the Republic was alongside the Minister of Education, Pap Ndiaye. During the presidential campaign, Emmanuel Macron had already expressed his desire to generalize this daily sporting practice. “for children from 6 to 12 years old” from the start of the school year.
During this visit, the president also confirmed the return of math “optional” in the first class from the start of the school year, without however integrating it into the common trunk as mentioned in February. The Head of State will also generalize the program “the school of the future”, tested in 59 establishments in Marseille, “from fall”.
