Six years after the attacks, several tributes were paid across the capital and in Seine-Saint-Denis, in the presence of survivors and relatives of the victims.
Six years after the horror, authorities, survivors, relatives of the victims and anonymous paid tribute to the victims of the November 13 attacks, during which commandos of the gIslamic State (IS) group killed 130 people and injured more than 350. Accompanied in particular by the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, Prime Minister Jean Castex started the commemorative tour with a wreath laying followed bya minute of silence in front of the Stade de France, Saturday, November 13, before heading to the terraces of cafes and restaurants targeted by the terrorists in Paris.
In front of the Bataclan, the survivors and relatives of the victims listened with emotion to the resounding in the grayness of the name of each of the 90 people who perished in the concert hall. This commemoration took place in a highly symbolic atmosphere, at a time when a historic trial has revived since September the memory of the deadliest terrorist attack ever committed in France. “For two months we have been at the trial, we have created a community, it is important to be there for the parents of the victims”, testifies Bruno Poncet, survivor of the Bataclan.
For her part, the American vice-president Kamala Harris, who completed a four-day visit to France on Saturday, placed a bouquet of white flowers in front of the terrace of the bar Le Carillon. She then crossed the street to enter the facility briefly.
