From Shaka Ponk to Nicky Jam via Izia… The Brive Festival continues until July 23

This is one of the most important festivals in Limousin in terms of attendance and notoriety, it is the Brive Festival. For this 19th edition, great French and international artists are on hand. And to open the ball this Thursday, July 20, nothing better than Angèle, the Belgian queen of pop, whom all the festivals are snapping up.

This first day of the festival was also marked by a last minute change. Adé (ex-singer of Thérapie Taxi) was replaced at short notice by Julien Granel. The sunny and colorful young artist made a name for himself with his danceable pop with funky accents.

Lomepal, Izia, Nicky Jam..

Among the highly anticipated French artists, we find in particular Lomepal, Juliette Armanet and Martin Solveig. Izia is also scheduled, while these recent controversial remarks during a concert had led a mayor to cancel his visit.

With Black Eyed Peas last year, the Brive Festival struck a blow. This year, the exclusive is the pioneer of reggaeton, Nicky Jam, who has been programmed for the last day, Sunday evening. The Latin American singer, professional of hits and billions of views on Youtube, chose the Brive Festival for his only French date of the year.

Finally, the alternative rock band, Shaka Ponk, will be present at the Brive Festival on Saturday evening. And it is an event, since it is their last passage before the group separates to reduce their carbon footprint. Result: 12,000 tickets sold, an absolute record ever recorded by the festival.
