But this Thursday, December 22, the companion of the former Miss France Rachel Legrain-Trapani, was many concerns related to his dream body. It was in a hospital patient outfit that the handsome brunette posed and delivered a poignant text that evokes his fight against the disease. “I wanted to share with you this experience which happened to me for the first time yesterday during the operation. A very small operation which was not really one and which however did not last more than 10 minutes“, began the former participant of Beijing Express, before confiding to having been reached younger by leukemia: “To explain to you, I have a certain hospital-related phobia, a kind of post-traumatic stress related to my leukemia at the age of 6.“
“Yesterday when I was on my hospital bed and they put the oxygen mask on me to fall asleep, I saw all the images of my illness, the moments of loneliness, the fear of my parents at the announcement of my disease, the physical pain, the treatments and all these feelings that crossed me during my fight against the disease. I burst into tears without being able to stop“, continued Valentin Léonard. […] And to add:All this to tell you that each difficult test / each post traumatic will certainly follow us / you all our lives, in our construction, our way of acting and living. But the best thing about all of this is that whatever type of hardship we overcome, it will help us grow, make us stronger.“
Before concluding, the companion of Rachel Legrain-Trapani also posted a photo of him, the bald head, the stigma of the terrible disease which affected him when he was only a child. “The trials are there to make us understand that life is fragile and that we must learn to appreciate it at every moment.
