The members of the group Green Day went to the Taverne Louise on Saturday evening to share a meal, the day before their highly anticipated show on the Plains of Abraham.

Around 8 p.m. Saturday evening, the musicians of the Californian group Green Day, accompanied by a dozen members of their team, went to the restaurant located in the Old Port.
The reservation had also been made almost two months ago, underlines the co-owner of the establishment, Blaise Fortier, who had been required to keep the secret.
“Friendly”, the members of the Green Day team ordered a few vegan meals, fish plates and beef scoter, in particular.
“They really enjoyed their evening. They took the staff in their arms before leaving,” says the restaurateur.
The group also took care to highlight the birthday of a member of the team. “My staff sang happy birthday in the restaurant with Green Day, it’s still special,” says Mr. Fortier.

“We were really honored to receive them. These are people who love good food. They were quite relaxed and reserved, I think they wanted to be in good shape for their show,” he adds.

Before their meal, a Green Day fan, who had been wandering the area for long hours with the hunch that her idol was staying there, was able to get a photo with Billie Joe Armstrong.

“I told him that I was getting married in two weeks, that it would be the best wedding gift I could have,” says the admirer, who will also make his entrance on a song of the group, during the celebration. expected in two weeks.
Touched, he then returned to the restaurant to make the request to the principal concerned, says the young woman.
“When he came back with Billie Joe, he said “stay calm“. I had my hands in my face and I was like Oh my God! Edoes this happen to me for real?” she says, admitting that she has not yet come back. “It was unreal,” she adds.
Although she was only able to speak to him for a minute, she says the Green Day singer was disconcertingly calm. “He was far from having the energy he had on stage!” she says.
