Connor Ingram and the Coyotes shut out the Red Wings

Connor Ingram made 28 saves for his sixth shutout of the season, tied for first in the league, and the Arizona Coyotes beat the Red Wings 4-0 on Friday night.

It was the Coyotes’ first home win in six weeks, their first since Jan. 22 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Coyotes had lost their last seven games at home.

Jack McBain, Alexander Kerfoot, Logan Cooley and Nick Bjugstad found the back of the net.

The Red Wings lost their fourth straight game. Alex Lyon stopped 22 shots.

McBain opened the scoring at 2:35 of play by taking advantage of a rebound to beat Lyon.

Kerfoot and Cooley both scored their 11e net of the countryside. Cooley’s came on the power play, on a slap shot that gave the Coyotes a 3-0 lead.

The Red Wings still didn’t have a shot on net midway through the first period, with the Coyotes already leading 2-0.

Laurent Brossoit whitewashes the Kraken

Laurent Brossoit stopped 17 shots to record his first shutout this season, Mark Scheifele scored his 19e goal of the campaign and the Winnipeg Jets beat the Kraken 3-0 on Friday night.

It was the fourth career shutout for the goaltender. It was the first time this season that the Kraken did not score in a game.

Scheifele, who had a few chances earlier in the game, finally opened the scoring.

He has collected at least one point in six of his team’s last seven games.

Nichushkin scores in overtime on his return to the Avalanche

Valeri Nichushkin scored the game-winning goal midway through overtime, returning to the lineup after two months, and the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Minnesota Wild 2-1 on Friday.

Nichushkin hit the target on the power play, while Kirill Kaprizov was sent off for hooking.

Artturi Lehkonen scored just 42 seconds into the game for the Avalanche, who have made several significant additions to their group since the trade deadline, including Casey Mittelstadt and Brandon Duhaime.

Georgiev blocked 29 pucks.

Duhaime played his first game with the Avalanche, against his former team and his former teammates.

Roope Hintz reaches the 300-point plateau

Roope Hintz scored and added two assists to surpass 300 career points, Chris Tanev scored his first goal with Dallas, and the Stars defeated the Anaheim Ducks 6-2 on Friday night.

Jamie Benn and Joe Pavelski each scored and had an assist. The Stars have scored three power play goals, having taken advantage of six of their last 12 power plays, in their last three games.

Radek Faksa and Mason Marchment also scored for the winners, while Miro Heiskanen and Jason Robertson both had two assists.

Jake Oettinger stopped 26 shots and signed a fifth win in six outings.

Ryan Strome had a goal and an assist and Alex Killorn also scored. John Gibson blocked 30 shots.
