Matias Maccelli ended the suspense in overtime and the Arizona Coyotes beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 on Friday.
Maccelli got his 15e goal of the season at 1:35, into the top of the net.
Josh Doan and Logan Cooley also scored for the Coyotes, who have won four of their last five games.
Adam Henrique and Darnell Nurse fought back for the Oilers.
Winning goalkeeper Karel Vejmelka made 37 saves, 12 more than Calvin Pickard.
The Oilers had won three games in a row.
