The knifeSalman Rushdie
Salman Rushdie’s highly anticipated text is finally available in French. Written after the attack of which he was the victim in 2022, in the state of New York, it returns to the terrible event which cost the writer an eye, when he believed himself freed from the fatwa of Ayatollah Khomeini launched 30 years earlier. A story tinged with “his deadpan humor and [de] his usual spirit”, according to the chronicler of The Press Marc Cassivi.
