Frenchman Olivier Giroud is getting closer to MLS… but not to Montreal

French international soccer player Olivier Giroud is reportedly close to joining LAFC in the MLS.

The star striker who currently plays with AC Milan in Italy has accepted a pact with the California club until December 2025, according to what journalist Fabrizio Romano reports.

During his career, the Frenchman played for prestigious clubs Arsenal and Chelsea in the English Premier League before joining AC Milan.

In 707 professional matches, he scored no less than 283 goals.

Giroud has also represented his country on more than 130 occasions, scoring 57 goals in the process.

Rumors associated Giroux’s name with CF Montreal, but ultimately it was LAFC who managed to get their hands on the 6’4″ Frenchman.
