French basketball player Evan Fournier, 31, will make his return to Europe twelve years after joining the NBA, at the Greek club Olympiakos, the player himself confirmed on his X account (ex-Twitter).

On Monday evening, September 2, the silver medalist with the French team at the Paris Olympic Games shared one of his old publications, dating from 2022, in which he announced that if he had to leave the NBA one day, it would be to join Olympiakos: “That day is today, Olympiacos [Ce jour est arrivé, Olympiacos]”he wrote on X.

Without a contract since the end of his season with the American club Detroit Pistons, Evan Fournier will join the triple Euroleague champion.

20th pick in the 2012 draft, having played in Denver, Orlando, Boston, the Knicks and Detroit, Evan Fournier has played 723 games in the NBA, making him the sixth Frenchman to have played the most games in the American basketball league.
