The Frenchman Bryan Coquard won this Thursday the 2nd stage of the 52nd Etoile de Bessèges-Tour du Gard cycling contested over 156 km between Saint-Christol-lez-Alès and Rousson. The sprinter from the Cofidis team was ahead, during an uphill finish, of the Dane Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo) and the Norwegian Tobias Halland Johannessen (Uno-X). In the general classification, Pedersen reinforces his leader’s coral jersey now 17 seconds ahead of his first pursuer, the Frenchman Mathieu Burgaudeau (TotalEnergies). This Friday, 3rd stage, a loop of 156 km around Bessèges, called “Souvenir Raymond Poulidor”.
