Alexis Vuillermoz won the 2nd stage of the Critérium du Dauphine 2022 on Monday by winning the sprint in Brives-Charensac ahead of the Norwegian Anders Skaarseth (Uno-X) second, and the French Olivier Le Gac (Groupama-FDJ) who finished 3rd . At 34, the French rider from the TotalEnergies team won the 9th victory of his career, the first in the Dauphiné, and took the leader’s yellow jersey.
The Jura rider sprinted ahead of his four companions in a breakaway formed in the first hour: Olivier Le Gac (Groupama-FDJ), Anders Skaarseth (Uno-X), Anthony Delaplace (Arkea-Samsic) and Kevin Vermaercke (DSM) .
