French YouTuber Norman in police custody for rape and corruption of a minor

Norman Thavaud, French YouTube star with 12 million subscribers, was taken into police custody on Monday for questioning on charges of rape and corruption of a minor, the Paris prosecutor’s office told AFP, confirming information from Release.

Host of the “Norman makes videos” page, he is in police custody as part of a preliminary investigation entrusted to the Brigade for the Protection of Minors (BPM).

According to the French daily Release, the charges relate to six “potential victims” who were “questioned” and five of whom would accuse him of rape. Two of them would be minors, according to the newspaper.

A Quebec fan, Maggie D., had publicly accused him in 2020 of having manipulated her to obtain sexual photos and videos. She said she had filed a complaint in Canada.
