A week after the earthquake in Morocco, thousands of volunteers remain mobilized. Among them, French people who assist Moroccan rescuers.
Go out to meet the victims, listen to them and offer them help after the deadly earthquake that hit Morocco. Here are the French missions that are on site. This is the case of Thierry Oelher and his friends, who help Moroccan rescuers. These French volunteers work in Marrakech and Essaouira. For a week, they have been traveling through the Atlas Mountains.
Helping residents even in the most remote areas
Thierry Oelher and his friends decided to help the inhabitants affected by the earthquake by going to the most remote areas of the Atlas. As for donations, they are pouring in from all over Morocco. Volunteers also rely on local associations. They receive instructions on a daily basis. Other French people also decided to help the residents. “We cannot be indifferent to the disaster”, recognizes a French citizen residing in Morocco. The challenge is immense for the volunteers.
