Third edition, revised and expanded, of an anthology first published in 2004 (originally titled, before a lexical shift, Native American literature from Quebec. French-language writings), Francophone indigenous literatures in Quebec offers us an interesting overview of a vein of our literature which has been on the rise for several years. Maurizio Gatti, a specialist on the subject, this time presents a corpus largely renewed since the first edition. Faced with the abundance of texts, the researcher chose to present “authors who are unanimously recognized as indigenous by indigenous literary institutions and by the community of indigenous writers.” For these reasons, exit Bernard Assiniwi, Michel Noël and Sylvain Rivard, as well as “a certain number of authors who, over the years, have not invested in a writer’s journey”.
