A real economic opportunity, more than 2,000 companies were mobilized for the Olympic Games. Among them, 78% are SMEs and VSEs.
A Vendée company built 450 prefabricated bathrooms for athletes’ rooms. With specifications to respect: “We have bathrooms with heights of 2m45 to accommodate tall athletes”, explains Laurent Roué, sales manager at Baudet. This activity represents 20% of its annual turnover. To meet deadlines, the company had to add “around twenty temporary workers in addition to 110 employees”specifies Laurent Roué.
Hundreds of companies
Hundreds of French SMEs are involved in the project of the year in the capital. More than 14,000 athletes will benefit from it in the coming months. The equipment for the Olympic ring as well as the maintenance are offered by the company to the organizer: a cost of 300,000 euros but a showcase for the leader in the sector. During the Games, eight employees will guard the ring 24 hours a day.
