“French justice has its say in what happened on October 7,” affirmed on franceinfo Sunday June 9 Me Sacha Ghozlan, lawyer at the Paris bar and co-founder of the Association of lawyers for families of victims of October 7.

“Why? Because there are French victims. The Penal Code is extremely clear, when crimes are committed abroad, even by foreigners, but against French citizens, French justice is competent and can get hold of it.” A preliminary investigation is also already underway at the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office following complaints filed in Paris.

“French justice is collecting evidence, testimonies, there are more than 70,000 videos of the crimes of October 7, all of this is analyzed,” confirms the lawyer. He knows that “it will take time”, but he remains confident: “We are in a legal period which is extremely long, but we hope, one day, [voir] a major trial in Paris for the perpetrators of these crimes of October 7.”
