“French heritage… shit!”, Christian Clavier reframes a journalist in the middle of an interview

For the first time in the history of French cinema, Christian Clavier and Didier Bourdon will play opposite each other on the big screen! On February 7, the two famous actors will indeed be starring in the film cock-a-doodle Doo, directed by Julien Hervé (who scripted the Tuche saga). In this feature film in which Sylvie Testud also participates, we discover the meeting between Les Bouvier-Sauvage, a large aristocratic family, and the Martins, a much more modest family, upon the announcement of the marriage of their children.

To celebrate their union, the future bride and groom offer their parents DNA tests, which will reveal their true origins. The totally unexpected results will have the effect of a bomb and shake up all the convictions of both households, in particular that of Father Bouvier-Sauvage played by Christian Clavier.

Christian Clavier reframes a journalist live on RTL
In full promotion of the film, Christian Clavier and Didier Bourdon were this Wednesday January 31, invited on the airwaves of RTL radio in the show RTL Good evening with Julien Sellier, Marion Calais, Stéphane Boudsocq and Cyprien Cini. “Christian you play Frédérique Bouvier Sauvage, a very wealthy aristocrat, a bit pretentious” then launched one of the journalists to introduce his host.

Always very teasing, the 71-year-old actor was quick to correct the host: “No, no, I would say a winegrower, it’s someone who makes great wines. Let’s not immediately be belittling because the guy has money! Subscribe to this kind of clichés of the time, thank you!”

And while the journalist tried to continue his summary, Christian Clavier then continued: “He has a lot of hectares, he makes great wines, in Bordeaux. It’s civilization, it’s French heritage, it’s also the farmers! Damn!” all with a lot of humor to make the audience laugh. A clarification which has the merit of being clear.
