Are you currently facing a psychological difficulty? 49% of private sector employees answer yes to this question asked by Alan, a company that offers solutions related to well-being in companies, and Harris interactive. Young employees are much more likely to say they are in difficulty: 61% of 18-24 year olds. Where do these difficulties come from? The study speaks of pressure, work overload, understaffing. Add to that the hypersolicitation allowed by digital tools, it gives fatigue. Three-quarters of employees surveyed by Alan say they are tired. Here too the figures are slightly higher among the youngest.

In some professions, the situation is more serious. This is first and foremost the case of employees in cafes, hotels and restaurants. 52% of them say they are currently suffering from psychological difficulties at work. To the point that three quarters of them want a change of position, company or retraining. They point to excessive pressure from the hierarchy, internal organizational problems and a poor balance between personal life and professional life.

Another ill-off, executives of SMEs. For them, malaise at work is a common phenomenon. 73% of them have already experienced it and 48% suffer from fatigue, stress, loss of motivation and worry. This is almost ten points more than the average for private sector employees. In question, in particular, moments of high pressure, difficulties in disconnecting and ambitious objectives. Fortunately, they do more physical activities than others to regain their balance.

Another affected sector: digital. 76% of digital employees have experienced a painful psychological episode and 50% are experiencing it today. They complain of a feeling of isolation and evoke a loss of sense of their profession. If we are not in the trend of the great resignation observed in the United States – in March, 4.5 million workers left their work, a record – the study observes that 75% of employees want everything tackle. 73% have less desire to work and 71% want a profound change, such as a change of position, company or retraining.
