“The World Cup in Qatar is still a certain politico-economic and human disaster, especially with the migration of workers and the thousands of deaths to build the stadiums, in addition to the air conditioning”, explains the sportsman. According to him, responsibility comes through actions: “I believe that when sports officials and sports people themselves are asked to be exemplary, I think it is through actions.” For Romain Bardet, “we are at a turning point”. “I’m not saying that a boycott is necessarily the solution, but it’s time to listen to somewhat dissenting voices”he concludes.
