There was no doubt about his descent: Mikaël Kingsbury found the first step of the podium on Saturday in Huez, during the mogul duels.
He faced the Swede Walter Wallberg in the final. Starting from the boulders, Kingsbury used his speed and stability to finish the race well ahead of his rival.
In truth, it only took a few moments to determine the winner of the descent. Wallberg stumbled from the start. Although he finished the event standing up, Kingsbury only had to stay on his skis to confirm the inevitable.
After taking third place on Friday in the individual after a rare mistake, the 29-year-old Quebecer was satisfied with his performance on Saturday.
“It was great,” he commented moments after his victory. We had good weather all week here in France. Yesterday I was happy with my skiing, I was fast. I knew I had a good chance in the duels. ”
It’s good to end it all on a high note before Christmas.
