Canadian James Crawford just missed the podium and finished 4th in the downhill at the Beijing Olympics on Monday.
The Ontarian came close to the dream of the Olympic podium with only seven hundredths of a second, when he set a time of 1 min 42 sec 92/100.
He was preceded by the Swiss Beat Feuz at the top of the podium, the Frenchman Jophan Clarey who won the silver and the Austrian Matthias Mayer (bronze).
For his part, the skier Broderick Thompson was less lucky, since he did not finish his descent, due to a violent fall in the middle of the course.
Fortunately, he was not injured.
