(OTTAWA) One of the organizers of the “freedom convoy”, Pat King, is appearing in an Ottawa court on Wednesday for a bail review.
Posted at 2:21 p.m.
This revision had suddenly been interrupted in April, when the computer of his lawyer appeared to have been hacked.
Since then, Mr King has retained the services of a new lawyer to secure his bail and defend him against a growing number of charges.
The day after the hearing ended abruptly in April, the Crown announced that it would bring additional charges against him of perjury and obstruction of justice.
Details of the testimony that led to the allegations are protected by a court publication ban, as is Wednesday’s hearing.
Pat King was arrested on February 18 on charges related to his participation in the three-week demonstration in the streets of Ottawa against health restrictions.
