The Quebec Bar is celebrating its 175th in stylee anniversary by launching a “Legal Marathon” on Thursday aimed at providing free legal information to the population. Events are planned throughout Quebec.
“This is the flagship event to mark the 175the anniversary of the Bar. The theme is engagement with the public. The goal is to demonstrate that we are committed to the public,” explains the president of Quebec in an interview.e Catherine Claveau.
As part of this “Legal Marathon”, the Bar organizes free workshops, training and conferences on several themes, for example on wills and elder law in terms of health and social services. There will also be information kiosks in several courthouses across the province.
“These are subjects that concern Mr. and M.me everyone, it’s completely free. It’s really a way for us to reach out to the public to discuss,” argues M.e Claveau.
