This Sunday, May 7, 2023, France 2 broadcast a new number ofSunday in the countryside. For the occasion, Frédéric Lopez received 3 guests: Aure Atika, Daniel Auteuil and Cyril Lignac. Interviewed by our colleagues from Tele-Leisure at the time of filming, the famous 45-year-old pastry chef had mentioned a particularly intimate sequence from the show. During her interview with the host, the star of Everyone in the kitchen talked about his paternity. “Frédéric asked me questions about my son,” he confided. “I never talk about it, but his way of bringing the subject made me want to share my life”.
However, this conversation about young Leo, born June 28, 2022, was obviously cut off during the editing. Indeed, Cyril Lignac did not address the subject of “family” during his visit to A Sunday in the countryside, contrary to what he had announced. Contacted by Tele-Leisure, the production of the program gave no explanation for this decision. Did Déborah’s companion ask the teams not to broadcast this too intimate extract? The mystery remains intact.

For his part, Frédéric Lopez does not seek to draw worms from the personalities he receives. “There’s nothing I’m looking for and that’s probably why the guests confide so much. I’m not going to go after them on a subject that can make them uncomfortable because I’m so empathetic that I would be even more so than them”, he had explained.
In addition to the enigma around this mysteriously disappeared passage, Cyril Lignac returned to his early career. “My parents gave me 10,000 francs, I took their Renault 21 and arrived in rue Oudinot, next to the Invalides”, he recalled. It was at the age of 22, as soon as his military service ended, that the chef left his hometown to conquer Paris. A particularly complicated period for the former presenter of the Best pastry chef. “I was crying, I was not well because I was all alone”. “Finally, I found extras and I earned a little more money, which allowed me to return to Aveyron”. Touching confidences.
