If you are a fan of horror films (and if, in addition, you have the advantage of being rich), this is your chance: Freddy’s iconic glove will be put on sale during an auction, in London in November.
Freddy’s interpreter, Robert Englund, wore the glove in the first two films of the series, The Claws of the Night (1984) and Freddy’s Revenge (1985). The glove, featuring armor and razor blades, is seen in “multiple shots” and “publicity photos” of the Claws of the Nightconsidered a seminal film in the world of horror, we can read in the description published on the Propstore Auction website.

The lucky new owner of the glove will, however, have to untie his purse strings: the value of the object is estimated between 200,000 and 400,000 pounds sterling, or between 335,000 to 670,000 Canadian dollars.
The auction, titled “Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction,” features nearly 1,800 lots related to cinema, television and music. Horror is in the spotlight: in the list of items for sale, we also find a script from the film The Shining annotated by director Stanley Kubrick, costumes and masks worn in the series Friday 13 and a baby wig from the film Addams Family Values.
