The world of cars and F1 is in mourning, Sunday, November 28. Briton Frank Williams, founder of the famous Formula 1 team that bears his name, has died at the age of 79, his team announced on Twitter.
It is with great sadness that on behalf of the Williams family, the team can confirm the death of Sir Frank Williams CBE, Founder and Former Team Principal of Williams Racing, at the age of 79.

The team created by Frank Williams in the 1970s won sixteen world titles between 1980 and 1997, nine for manufacturers and seven for drivers.
