François Legault returns to the charge and again points the finger at general practitioners who do not do enough in his eyes to take care of patients. “My patience has reached its limits,” the Prime Minister told family doctors on Wednesday, without setting a deadline.
The elected Caquiste recently holds a list of names of Quebec professionals who care for less than 1000 patients. He had brandished it on Tuesday in question period to justify his intentions to review the operation of the practice.
According to figures collected by The duty, 15% of general practitioners take care of less than 500 patients in Quebec. “For a minority of family doctors, there is a problem,” reiterated Mr. Legault on Wednesday during a press scrum.

The head of government maintains that he will not hesitate to legislate if the Federation of general practitioners of Quebec does not wish to conclude a negotiated agreement.
