François Hollande votes in Tulle with Julie Gayet for the second round of the presidential election

Voters are moving in dribs and drabs to vote in the second round of the presidential election. This is the first reflection that François Hollande makes when entering his polling station in Tulle at 10:30 a.m.: “A fortnight ago, we had to queue to vote at the same time. So it’s true that there are holidays and that, exceptionally, it’s raining today in Tulle”. This lack of enthusiasmFrançois Hollande also explains it with a paradigm shift, for the first round, voters came to make a choice. There, for many voters, there is an obligation or a constraint for those who do not want either one or the other.“.

Despite everything, the voters went to vote before 12 noon. In Correze, the participation rate is 29.06%a little higher than in the first round at the same time, but lower (34.42%) than in the second round of the election in 2017.

After the presidential… the legislative elections

François Hollande is already turned towards the legislative elections, and this third round, he does not believe in it: “The first verse is quite encouraging, but at the end, there is always a very strong abstention. Many voters consider that everything has been played during the presidential election. You need a credible political offer to be able to mobilize!“.

Regarding a possible candidacy of the former President of the Republic in the legislative electionsFrançois Hollande casts doubt with a smile: “that’s another story”.
