Francois Hollande blamed for bad weather by Internet users

The former President of the Republic is making fun of this reputation that sticks to his skin in a video posted on his social networks. “It may rain, but it’s the most beautiful party in the world that it is possible to organize,” he declares, trying to put the bad weather forecast into perspective.

It’s confirmed: rain will unfortunately be part of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on Friday, July 26, according to the latest weather forecasts. From there to saying that François Hollande, guest of the ceremony, is responsible, there is only one step… that some Internet users take with humor.

Like the climatologist and research director at the CNRS Christophe Cassou, who was one of the first on Friday morning to have fun on X of this “amazing” rain forecast, in the middle of summer. And to add, a bit mischievously: “President Hollande will be in the stands.”

“The organizers must be starting to seriously regret having invited François Hollande,” writes another. Aurélien Véron, elected to the Paris Council, wonders on the same social network “Who brought François Hollande out of the closet? On the day of the official ceremony, seriously?”.

While the name of the last Olympic flame bearer remains secret, another Internet user believes that the former President of the Republic, and current MP for Corrèze, is the ideal candidate for this mission.

The main person concerned, who regularly jokes about this reputation, even made a short humorous video posted on his networks early in the afternoon. “You’re worried that it’s going to rain tonight because I’m going to be at the ceremony. I can confirm it: I’ll be there, it might rain, but it’s the most beautiful party in the world that it’s possible to organize.”he says in this video. And adds: “I will only see sunshine tonight. I wanted the Olympic Games in Paris, I am happy about it.”
